We are the Mowrer family!
Since we love flowers and our name in fact rhymes with flower, Dr. Flower is the perfect company name. Our all natural handmade soaps are created in small batches with care at the Flower Mowrer Manor. (They may be spelled differently but those two actually rhyme!) Welcome to our site~. 
Why Soap?…Who is Dr. FLower?
Essentially, Dr. Flower is a representation of nature itself. Nature is a delicate cyclic balance of which we are a part. Our best lessons about life are derived from it. We think skin care is no exception. Journey back to nature with us in a luxurious hand made soap. It’s the difference between a good shower and a GREAT one!
Soap making was introduced to me by a friend of a massage therapist in Athens, Georgia. In November 2000, massage therapist, Sue held a cold process soap making class in her kitchen. She had photocopies of a basic recipe and safety instructions. In the process, we plucked herbs and prepared means of soap decoration as we discussed natural plant essential oils that could be used for aromatherapy. Sue was quite good at logically explaining the process and inspiring us all to experiment with safety number one. By the time we finished the class and “put the soap to bed”, I was hooked! I’ve been making soap ever since! I was not the only one hooked. It was my husband’s request that there be a stock pile of handmade soap before our daughter was delivered in 2002. This year as our daughter turns five and prepares for Kindergarten, We have “birthed” a new baby soap making business. Join with us on this journey of life as we bring the ancient art and science of all natural handmade soap to our community.
